Mama K (CD5K), Training (read: Practicing), Where I'm at now...

The Trail

Mama D, Mama C, and I have always used the Pottstown Riverfront Trail as our favorite long run training spot. It’s flat, it’s gravel, and now it’s finally under a canopy of verdant leaves once again. Free from traffic, the need to keep calculating the route, and stops for street crossings, the trail is the most comfortable place for a run, both physically and mentally. And now our fellow Mamas have discovered the beauty of running on this trail.

Yesterday morning’s run didn’t disappoint. 4.5 miles of the lush woods went so quickly. Again, time stood still. I felt like I could’ve kept going the whole morning. It just felt so good to be there; good friends and good fellowship. The only thing missing was a few of our other favorite Mamas who couldn’t make it. I’m sure we’ll be back soon to take a trip down the path once again.

My daughter made us these bracelets. I feel so inspired and proud, like for once I’m ready to take on the rest of the week. Blaze your trail of awesomeness today!
